Hi! Nice to meet you! I’m Melissa Bauer
I am a person driven by curiosity to see the good in all things – including people, relationships, systems, problems. People in my life know me as a mother, wife, friend and leader who is unlike any other, who shows up with a lot of heart. I consider my self a solution finder, rather than a problem solver.
I am from many places, having lived in a few different states including Michigan, Virginia and most recently Minnesota. I love the variety in the Twin Cities for possible activities, but the cold bites to the bone. We’ll see how long we continue to stay…
I work full time as an IT Systems Manager for a manufacturer, with my primary project being the implementation of an ERP system (ERP meaning the computer that keeps track of all the things to run a business). I work part time as a sole proprietor Massage Therapist. The separation between these roles seems vast, but has a common theme of being present for the transformation that can happen once it is triggered. I love to offer my coworkers & clients the opportunity for change, for them to leave time with me with choices.
In any moment, I see problems & very quickly, I see the possible solutions. My mind calculates the possible paths forward with a speed that is unexpected, even to me. I’ve learned to appreciate that as a superpower. So topically, I have a heart to assist others with making change more palatable by not avoiding the work to be done; instead digging to get it done. I’m still brewing how that all fits together to pick a direction, right now, I think I’m still in the map reading stage.
Superpowers – months ago, I would have said I was the wrong kind of ordinary, the kind that didn’t fit in, really, anywhere, and that I had no real superpowers. At the time of this intro, I’ve completed 2 courses & starting my 3rd, working towards a Facilitator. 🙂 It makes me happy to say that I have many superpowers (as we all do!), and I am enjoying learning, discovering, uncovering, recognizing them in myself & others as I own the me I am.
