I am throwing this out to you, Team- How to harmoniously bring together 2 opposite systems???
Using our LTPN knowledge, what do you suggest? I had a very very tense meeting last night. I am President of a women’s group, combing with another one. Our group is full of “red”s and the other is pretty quiet and meek. They are very loose- and do not follow an Agenda. They just “talk” . Ours is not, and some of the women are very outspoken.
There are presently 29 women on the Board, because we merged. I have people raise their hands if they want to share. The other group did not say too much nor participate much.
The other group’s president does not want anything to do with the Board when her term ends in December. The pres and I have tirelessly worked to bring these groups together.
I was ready to quit too ,and decided to sit on my emotions for a few days.
One thing I realized is that, observing from comments, the Board does not understand how we are in survival mode. I did not share how hard we have worked, and, the issues they raised were surprisingly insignificant in light of what we are going thru.
Looks like 1/2 the Board will resign after last night. How can I bring peace and calm and help all work together??
I appreciate any feedback – esp using our LTPN knowledge!
