Monica Cochran

Monica Cochran is a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed educator and play therapist with a deep passion for nurturing the love of learning. She works with children, parents, home educators, micro-schools, and innovative learning communities to co-create environments where every learner can feel safe, seen, and supported. She has extensive experience helping learners of all ages rediscover the joy of learning in ways that work for them.

Based in southeastern Michigan and working virtually worldwide, Monica brings a compassionate, strength-based approach to promote lifelong learning. She has a special place in her heart for learners who think and process differently—the outside-the-box learners who often struggle to fit into traditional educational systems. Monica empowers these learners to recognize their unique strengths, grow their confidence, and thrive in today’s rapidly changing world.

She is also a lifelong learner herself—always seeking new ways to connect hearts and minds. Monica believes in the transformative power of curiosity, co-regulation, and creativity in the learning process.

“The answer is not to standardize education, but to personalize and customize it to the needs of each child and community. There is no alternative. There never was.”
— Sir Ken Robinson

Elaine Decker

Elaine Decker’s core offering: Release Your Trickster!
She invites you to rediscover the joy, mischief, and wisdom of your inner Trickster—because sometimes, the most serious thing we can do is laugh.

Elaine earned a PhD in Education from the University of British Columbia, with a focus on the interpretive and comic dimensions of being human. Her 50-year professional journey includes teaching at every level—elementary through post-secondary—and leadership in teacher education and community organizations.

Now retired from formal academia, Elaine devotes her energy to being a full-time Trickster and laughter activist. She draws from a lifetime of observing how humor, imagination, and disruption can be tools for transformation.

The Trickster archetype—a staple in mythology, science fiction, and real life—is the fool, the clown, the innovator, the one who questions the rules and reinvents the game. Through her course, Elaine helps participants tap into that archetype as a guide for resilience, creativity, and leadership in uncertain times.

Elaine invites you to strengthen your ability to celebrate life’s gifts and challenges (both individually and collectively) and to help co-create a more compassionate, playful, and loving world.

The times are serious—so let’s laugh. Stay tuned for upcoming course dates.
