Hi Savannah! I appreciate your perspective. I agree. I faced a dark past too. I felt it challenging to find ‘hot apple pies’ and happy baking dogs in most of the memories that returned, but I sat in many, many memories before choosing which belonged in my poem.

It was a great exercise.

And as it was spoken in tonight’s group meeting, it would be a fun month to dive into if I were to use this as a journal prompting faced daily in order to uncover more and more ‘pieces’ of my Self.
